This piece is driven by an inner industrial rhythmic pulse. Many of the industrial sounds were created by layering extended technique percussion. Such as playing a cymbal with an electric toothbrush. However other sounds such as the nails and sewing sounds were also produced by percussive use of flute, clarinet and bassoon.
